Dena Geselschap
Mrs. Dena Geselschap, age 91, of Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Orange City, Iowa, and Bella
Vista, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April14, at Country Side Estates in Cherokee.

Dena was born December 11, 1900, at Orange City, the daughter of Wein and Jennie (Lagendyk) Van Oort. She lived in Orange City most of her life. On February 15, 1923, she married Thomas Stuart Geselschap at Orange City. He passed away May 15, 1964, at Orange City. In 1980, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to make her home with her son and his wife. In
March of 1990, they all moved to Bella Vista. On January 17,1991, she became a resident of
Country Side Estates.

Mrs. Geselschap was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church and a former member of the American Reformed Church in Orange City. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Irene, and her husband, Clifford M. Booth, of Cherokee; son, Thomas Frederick, and his wife, Elaine A., of Bella Vista; three grandchildren, Mark Geselschap, Diana Coco, and Lonnie Booth; three step-grandchildren, Karen Ferguson, and Coe and Kathryn Carlson; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Gabriel Coco; five step-great-grandchildren, Eric, Joel, Shannon, Ryan, and Katy Ferguson; and sister, Jane Vander Stoep, of Hemet, California.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, also named Thomas
Frederick; and eight brothers and sisters, Cyrene, Albert, Paul, Johnny, and Wein Van Oort, Kate Vander Zwaag, Hattie Zevenbergen,
