After a long and painful illness Mrs. Isaac Muilenburg died at her home two miles northeast of Orange City early Saturday morning at the age of forty six years and nine months. Her husband died nearly four years ago. She leaves nine children to mourn her departure eight of whom are still at home. The funeral Monday afternoon at two from the First Reformed church was well attended.

This community was shocked Friday to hear of the death of Isaac Muilenburg a prominent farmer residing two miles northeast of town.
Deceased was forty-five and the picture of health u p to a few days ago when he took down with lung fever. He leaves a wife and eight children.
His son Hubert is also very low with the malady. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon (Isaac died 5 Dec 1902 at 44 yrs 11 mo and 13 days, his wife was Dirkje Ruisch died 1 Sep 1906 age 46 yrs 9 mo 10 days both buried Orange City.
According to an ancestry.com report Isaac was born Dec 23, 1857 Pella IA to Huibert Muilenburg and Klazentje VerSteeg. He married Dirkje Ruisch Mar 6, 1879 at Orange City IA. Children – Huibert 1880, Dooije William 1881, Joseph Benjamin 1885, Edward 1887, Clazena 1889, Dick 1890, Ella 1892, Harry 1894, Lester 1899 and Joseph 1900.
