Susan Gay Vander Berg, infant daughter of Lt. and Mrs.(Marjorie) James Vander Berg died April 7, 1944 at Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa of lobar pneumonia. She was seven weeks old.

Funeral services were held at the J.E. Vander Berg home April 8, at 1:30 with Rev. Meengs officiating. Burial took place at the local cemetery.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral included Mrs. D. B. Swisher, Mrs. Lee Weiss of Clarion, T/S D.E. Swisher of Camp McCay, Wisconsin, A/S Elmer Vander Berg of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. W.Z. Rout of Dows, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. De Vries of Orange City.
