Mrs. Dick Van Wyhe of Washington Township passed away at 6:30 Tuesday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Muyden in this city, following an illness of more than a year's duration. She was brought to the home of her parents seven weeks ago in order that she might be nearer medical care and practically all this time she was bedfast. During her illness she suffered greatly but she bore her affliction with great fortitude.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 10 o'clock and at the Christian Reformed Church at Ireton at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. J.R. Van Dyke in charge. Interment will be made in Ireton.

She came to America with her parents when but five years old and for ten years she lived at Sioux Center. She then came to the Hawarden community as her parents moved onto a farm northeast of Hawarden. She was united in marriage with Dick Van Wyhe in January 1947, and her entire married life was spent in Washington Township near Ireton. To this union were born three children, who with the husband are left to mourn the death of a loving mother and wife. The children are Grace, aged 17; Mildred aged 13, and Wendell, aged 11. She also leaves to mourn her untimely death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Muyden of Hawarden; two brothers and five sisters; Neal Van Muyden, Sioux Center; Mrs. Clarence Veldhoen and Miss Marie and Leonard Van Muyden, Hawarden; Mrs. Lambert Van Wyhe, Ireton, and Mrs. Barney Okkema and Mrs. Albert Vander Sluis, Chicago.
