Mrs. John Van Wyk, (Ella Den Beste), who was born at Pella, Iowa August 14, 1878, passed away on August 16, 1951, at Hull, Iowa. She was well on her birthday but the next day she got convulsions and on Thursday afternoon she was taken to the hospital and passed away a few hours later. Her husband preceded her in death 26 years ago.

She leaves to mourn her death one son, Mitchell Van Wyk of Orange City, one granddaughter, Joyce, (Mrs. Ray Wielenga) and one great-granddaughter, Lynda Joy. Also three brothers, John Den Beste of Orange City, Will Den Beste of Denver, CO, and Dan Den Beste of Oskaloosa. And by her father's second marriage, four brothers, Fred Den Beste of Sioux Center, and three in Lynden, WA.

Funeral services were held August 20 at the home and the First Reformed Church, with Rev. Wm. C. De Jong in charge of the services.
