Paul M. TeStroete, 47, Sioux City, died Tuesday, July 7 at a Sioux City hospital following a long illness.
Services were held Friday at Morningside Reformed Church. Dr. Louis E. Lotz officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery under direction of the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home.
Mr. TeStroete was born Nov. 16, 1939 at Hospers and graduated from Hospers High School in 1958. He graduated from Morningside College with a degree in business administration in 1962. While at Morningside he received letters in both baseball and basketball. He married Beach A. Whaylen on June 22, 1963 in Sibley. After their marriage the couple lived in Sioux City from 1963-65, before moving to St. Joseph Mo. They returned to Sioux City in 1970 from Des Moines.
Mr. TeStroete worked for the Retail Credit Co. from 1968-70. Since 1970 he had been employed as a management consultant for Professional Management Midwest.
He was a member of Morningside Reformed Church were he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Morning Lions Club and the Sioux City, J.C.'s. He was a member of the Morningside "M" Club and served on the Alumni Board. He was a member of the Army Reserve from 1962-66.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark at home; a daughter, Julie L. of Iowa City; and his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arnold TeStroete of Hospers.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
