Funeral services for Charles Dykstra, 66, of Hospers were held at 1:30 Monday, April 16, at the Christian Reformed Church of Hospers with the Rev. C.R. Veenstra officiating.

He was born at Hallum, The Netherlands. In 1921 he came to the United States and on April 14, 1925 was married to Annie Andringa.

He is survived by his wife and children, James and Richard of Hospers, Gerrit of Sheldon, Donald in the army in Germany, Henry of Hull, Wilma (Mrs. Simon De Boer) and Hilda (Mrs. John Holtrop) of Sheldon, Jessie (Mrs. Walter Vander Plaats)of Sanborn, and Betty Ann of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, one brother, Dick of Hospers, a stepbrother, Charles Fykstra of Archer and two stepbrothers and one stepsister living in Holland.

Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery with Vander Ploeg’s in charge.
