Bernard C. Kroon died Sunday, Sept. 18,1994 in a Stockton California hospital. Services were held at the De Young Shoreline Chapel on Sept. 22, 1994. Burial was in San Joaquin Cemetery.

Bernie was born Feb. 24, 1927 at Sioux Center, the son of John and Wilhelmina (Scholten) Kroon. He married Joan Dokter at Orange City on Sept. 1, 1947. She preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 1989. , Bernie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving time during World War II. He worked for John Deere Implement at Orange City before moving to Stockton in 1962. He was parts manager for Mid-Cal Tractors 40 years prior to retirement.

Survivors are two sons, Dennis; and Tom and Esther Kroon; one granddaughter, Amanda; three brothers, Henry J. of Eagle Grove, William of Alton, and Stanton of Owatonna, Minn.; three sisters, Eda of Sioux Center, Gertrude Plastner of Gettysburg, Pa., Norma Loe of Pueblo, Colo.; and one sister-in-law, Geraldine Kroon of North Platte, Neb. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Bert and one in infancy
