Louis Stoll, 81, of Hospers, died Sunday, September 20, at his home near Hospers of a brief illness.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Catholic Church at Hospers. The Rev. Richard Ries officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen. The rosary was recited by the parish at 4, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Stoll was born Jan. 23, 1900, rural Hospers and was a lifelong area resident. He farmed near Hospers until retiring in 1965.

He married Petronilla Beckmann, Nov. 26, 1930, at Granville. She died July 21, 1945.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sons, Norbert of Archer; Leo of Hospers, Peter of Alton and Vincent of Granville; one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Regina) Portz of Hospers; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Simon of Sheldon and Henry of Hospers; and two sisters, Mrs. A. W. (Elizabeth) Kellen of Alton and Miss Philomena Stoll of Hospers.
