Gerrit Faber, 64, died Thursday, May 14, 1992, in Sioux Valley Foundation Hospice Cottage. Mr. Faber was born July 8, 1927, in Rock Valley, Iowa, and attended school there, and later farmed. He married Harriet Faber on March 9, 1950. They farmed for two years on his parents farm, and then moved to Inwood, Iowa.

He was employed with John Morrell Company in Sioux Falls from 1954,until retiring in 1986. He and his family moved to Beaver Creek, Minn., .in 1962, where he farmed part time. They moved to Buena Park, Calif., in 1986, and was custodian at Anaheim Christian Reformed Church. They moved back to Hills, Minn;, in July 1991. He was a member of Hills Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons: Gary and Dunne, both of Luvern, Minn., and Wendell of Garretson; three daughters: Mrs. Gene (Audrey) DeSmet of Hills, Mrs. Ervvin (Kathy) Rozeboom of Beaver Creek, Minn., and Mrs. Michael (Trudy) Acevedo of Anaheim, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Case of Inwood; and one sister, Mrs. Jake (Gertrude) Meendering of Inwood.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Hills Christian Reformed Church, of Hills, with burial in Hills Christian Reformed Cemetery. Engebretson Funeral Home, Luverne Minn, was in charge (if arrangements.
