Ella Techen, 82, of George, died June 22, at the George Good Samaritan Center.

Services were Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Hull, with the Rev. Paul Birkedal officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Born on January 2, 1908 in Sioux County, Ella Breuer married Arlie Techen on April 6, 1933. They farmed south of George until retiring into town in 1974.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughter-in-law, Eldon and Shirley of Sheldon and Arnold and Marlene of George; three daughters and son-in-law, Arlene and Al Sohl of Rock Rapids, Elaine and Kenneth Sohl of Doon and Louise and Ruben Winter of Whitesboro, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Breur, of Sibley, and three sisters, Katie Tiedemann and Erma Frick, both of Hull, and Martha Hansmann of Boyden.
