Leendert M. Dykstra died Monday morning at the age of 75 years. Although he was not able to work the last ten years on account of his health, his death as very sudden and unexpected. Deceased was born in the Netherlands where his wife died in 1891. In 1897 he came to this country with ten children who survive him. They are Mrs. Houtsma at Ocheyedan, T. Dyk at Pease, Mrs. Jurriaans at Pease, Mrs. Anna Brothers at Aberdeen SD, M. Dykstra at Ocheyedan, John at Slayton MN, Mrs. Bartels at Carmel, Mrs. Westra at Estelline SD, Emma and Dora at hoe. Besides there are a brother and sister in the old country and a ½ brother at Kearney Neb. Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm at the house and 2 o’clock in the First Ref. Church.
