James P. Teeslink, 87, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin died Thursday, October 9, 2003, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 13, at First Presbyterian Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Dr. Barry Boyer officiated. Burial followed at Prairie View Cemetery.

James Paul was born February 10, 1916, at Alton, the son of Jeanette (Hyink) and James Teeslink. He grew up in Alton and graduated from Alton High School. He attended Northwestern Junior College and Central College where he earned degrees in mathematics, physics and religion.

Paul married Mary O. Kirkham on April 17, 1938, in Missouri. They lived in Iowa where he taught high school before moving to Chippewa Falls in 1942. He worked as a design engineer at Uniroyal in Eau Claire for 42 years. Mary died January 8, 1981. He married Lois Irene Vander Schaaf in 1986.

Mr. Teeslink was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls since 1942, where he was an elder and taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Chippewa Falls Masonic Lodge, #176 F. & A.M.

Survivors include his wife Lois of Westminster, California and her children, Steve Vander Schaaf, Betsy Young and Mary Claire Vander Schaaf; his four daughters, Mary Jean (Ardell) Semington of Hastings, Minnesota, Paula Louise (Paul) White of Chippewa Falls, Elizabeth (Alden) Guberud of Prescott, and Kathryn Clark of Stevens Point; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Anita Streff and Daisy Blaylock.
