Syburn Tolsma, 86, of Inwood died Wednesday, April 2, 1986 in the Canton, So. Dakota hospital

Services were held in the Christian Reformed Church of Inwood. The Rev. Tim Ouwinga officiated. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery.

Mr. Tolsma was born September 20, 1899 in rural Rock Valley. He married Katherine (Van Beek) Gerritsen September 27, 1945 rural Inwood. They farmed in the Inwood area until 1962 when they moved to town. He then worked for six years for Caswell Plumbing and Heating.

Mr. Tolsma was a member and past elder of the Christian Reformed Church and 12-year member of the Christian School Board.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Stanton (Sharon) Visser of Rock Valley; a brother Richard of Grand Rapids, Mich., a sister Mrs. Vern (Clara) Roeloff of Holland, Michigan and four grandchildren.
