Albert Talley Dies at Age 40

Funeral Services To Be Held This Afternoon at Chatsworth for Elevator Owner

Albert Talley, 40, Chatsworth business man, died Monday night at the Akron hospital following a heart attack. Mr. Talley was taken to the hospital last Friday.

Funeral services will be held at the home in Chatsworth at 1:45 this afternoon and at 2:30 at the Congregational church in Elk Point. Burial will be at Vermillion with ritualistic work by the Masonic lodge.

Mr. Talley was born at Elk Point April 26, 1908, and until 15 years ago he lived on a farm in Union county. He married Kathryn Baxter June 13, 1928.

The past 15 years he was in the grain business at Burbank and Jefferson. In 1947 he went to Chatsworth and bought the grain elevator.

He was a member of the Masonic Grand lodge, A. P. and A. M., Lodge No. 2 of Vermillion and the Oriental Consistory at Yankton, S. D.

Survivors are his wife and two children, Bonnie Jean, 8, and Patricia Jo, 11; his, mother, Mrs. Sadie Talley of Sioux City; a brother, Woodrow Talley of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Halverson of Burbank, S. D., and Mrs. Myrtle Eslick of Sioux City. Two sons and four daughters preceded him in death.
