Sioux Center News Feb. 29,1944

Joan Geraldine Van't Hul, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Van't Hul, passed away at her home east of Rock Valley Wednesday evening. She had been ill since the last week in October, when she was found to have cancer of the kidneys. She was in Sioux City hospital twice for treatment. She was five years old October 14.

Funeral services were held at the home and Christian Reformed Church Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. H. Gearlings of Hospers, former pastor of Rock Valley.

She is survived by her parents, two brothers and four sisters, Dorothy and Lawrence twins, Albertha and Harriet, Geraldine Jean and Marlin Jay.
