Fannie "Henrietta" Wesselink, 90, Sibley, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Country View Manor Sibley.

Services are at 10am today (Saturday, Oct. 18) at First Reformed Church in Sibley with the Rev. Gary Van Heukelom officiating. Burial will be at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, under the direction of Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

Fannie "Henrietta" Wesselink, daughter of John A. and Annie (Visscher) Ver Steeg, was born on Jan. 16, 1907, in Orange City, where she lived her youth and attended a country school. She married Gerrit F. Wesselink on Feb. 16, 1927, in Orange City. They farmed near Ocheyedan, then moved to Sibley in 1940. SHe moved to the Pioneer Home in Orange City on Feb. 1, 1993, and then moved to Country View Manor on April 24, 1997.

She was a member of First Reformed Church in Sibley, where she was a member of Ladies Aid and a former Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, needlework and home Bible study.

Survivors include a son, Robert D. and Della Wesselink of Decatur, Il.; a daughter, Beverly J. and Fred K. Picha of Crystal, MN; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Nelvina Ver Steeg-Thomas of Orange City; and three brothers, Wilbur and Sue Ver Steeg of Bloomington, MN., and Clarence and Dorothy Ver Steeg of Evanston, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerrit; an infant son, Garry Eugene; her parents; six brothers, Clarence Lester in infancy, Lawrence, the Rev. Benjamin, Marion, Jake and the Rev. Bert; and two sisters, Mabel De Haan and Carrie Boonie.
