Wilhelminia "Minnie" Wesselink, 90, Sheldon died Friday, Dec. 22, at Northwest Iowa Health Center Senior Care in Sheldon.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 27, at First Reformed Church in Sheldon, with the Revs. David Brower and Gordon Bloemendaal officiating. Burial was at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Minnie Wesselink, daughter of Arie and Lamedena (Keizer) Valentine, was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Sioux Center. As a child, she moved with her parents to Archer, Sanborn and the Sheldon area. She attended country schools near Sanborn and Sheldon.

She married William Wesselink on July 14, 1934, in Sanborn.

They made their home in Sheldon, where she helped her husband in the plumbing business as a bookkeeper. Mr. Wesselink died June 6, 1979, in Sheldon. She remained in the family home in Sheldon.

She was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheldon. She enjoyed fishing, camping and just being a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Willis and Julie Wesselink of Spirit Lake, and Robert and Junella Wesselink of Sioux Falls, SD.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Koele of Denver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wesselink; a brother, Nick Valentine; and a sister, Wilma Lode.
