Ethel Wesselink, 89, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, November 13 in a hospital in Rock Valley after a brief illness. Services were at 3 p.m. Friday in the Pioneer United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ron Johnson officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wesselink, the former Ethel Lucille Collenbaugh, was born March 8, 1895 at Rock Rapids and attended school in Doon. Her family moved to Rock Valley in 1910. She married Dick Wesselink June 10, 1925. They made their home in Rock Valley where he was in the oil business. He died in 1950. She had been a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church since 1910.

Survivors include one stepson, John Wesselink of Rock Valley, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Walter (Henrietta) Post of Sioux Center and one brother, Paul of Rock Valley.
