Henry F. Winterfeld of Ireton died at the Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City, March 17th at the age of 79 years.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home and at the Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Hugo Beyers in charge. Burial was in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Henry Winterfeld was born November 9, 1866, at Farmersburg, Iowa, and was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Rentschler, who survives him with the following children, Mrs. August Schlumbohm, Mrs. Ernest Claussen, Louis Winterfeld, all of Larchwood, Mrs. Frank Schlumbohm of Hawarden, Henry Winterfeld of California, Lawrence Winterfeld of Chicago, Rudolph Winterfeld of Gerritson, S.D., Marvin Winterfeld of Sherman, S.D., and Elmer Winterfeld of Sioux Center.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. George Rentschler of LeMars, Mrs. Charles Anderson of Craig, and Mrs. Arnold Lendt of Marcus, and four brothers, John and August of Rock Valley, Louis and Albert of Craig.
