Mr. Delbert L. Top, age 41, of Sioux City, formerly of Orange City, passed away Thursday, December 14, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Delbert Lee was born January 25, 1948, at Artesia, California, the son of Dick Top and Grace (Rozeboom) Top. He moved with his family to Orange City, where he attended Maurice- Orange City Community Schools.

In November of 1973, he married Michelle Saltscaver at El Paso, Texas. For the past four years, Delbert and his son have made their home in Sioux City.

In earlier years, Delbert was employed by J & R Body Shop in Orange City. More recently he operated an auto body paint business at his home.

He was affiliated with the Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include his son, Jeremiah Lee; his mother, Grace, of Orange City, five brothers, Elwin, and Marlo both of Orange City; Terry of Elk Point S.D.; Richard of Granville; and Martin of Alton; a sister, Gladys Bales, of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held Monday Dec.18, at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Jack Gray officiating.
Interment followed at West Law Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
