Funeral services for Mrs. Harry De Jager were held at the First Reformed Church of Maurice Wednesday, February 5. She died Sunday, February 2, in the Sioux Center Hospital after a lingering illness. She was 60 years old at the time of her death.

Rev. J. Straks of Orange City conducted the services and interment was in the Maurice Cemetery. A men's quartet sang "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross," and "Take My Hand, Precious Lord." Casket bearers were Gerrit Riphagen, Abe Levering, Marvin Smit, Gerrit Vande Broek, William De Koter and Herman Van Donkelaar. Wm. de Bruyn of Sioux Center was in charge of arrangements.

Eunice Emma Vande Berg was born February 6, 1897, in Sioux Center. The family moved to Maurice when she was 13. She was united in marriage on January 21, 1920, to Harry De Jager.

She is survived by her husband and four children: (Bernice) Mrs. Fred Fisher of Pittsburg, California, (Shirley) Mrs. John Harskamp of Sioux Center, Merlyn in the service, and Wayne at home. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Anna Walter and Mrs. Don Torgeson of Waterloo and Mrs. Arie De Gooyer of Des Moines; one brother, Ralph Vande Berg of Garwin, Iowa, and three grandchildren.
