Darlene Betty White, 68, Rancho Bernardo, Ca, formerly of Orange City, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, at San Diego Hospice.

Services were Wednesday, March 4, at Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City, with Rev. Ralph Pontier officiating. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery.

Darlene White, daughter of Pier and Alyda (Kosters) Wiersma, was born April 16, 1931, in Alton. She married Frank White in Orange City. They later moved to California, settling in Rancho Bernardo 35 years ago. Mr. White died in May of 1974, in San Diego. She had been a retoucher for Photic for 35 years. She was a member of Ranchero Bernardo Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Bryan and Michelle White of San Diego; three sisters, Sarah "Dolly" Reinsma, Wilma Foreman and Helen and Elmer Huizenga of Orange City; and a sister-in-law, Marie Wiersma of Redlands, Ca. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and a brother, Kenneth Wiersma.
