Members of the Second Christian Reformed Church received word on Saturday, that their former pastor Rev. Ypma had passed away at the hospital at Grand Rapids, Michigan early Thursday morning after having suffered a stroke on Wednesday evening. He had reached the age of 75 years.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Jennie (Mrs. Gerrit Ledeboer) of Prinsburg, Minnesota; and Ida (Mrs. Martin Vander Veen) of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Funeral services were held for him on Monday at the Oakdale Park Church at Grand Rapids, and burial was also made there.

Rev. Ypma, who was the pastor of the church here for twelve years and left Sioux Center nine years ago at which time he retired from active ministry. He moved his family to Grand Rapids at that time and became a member of the Oakdale Park Church, preaching there in the Holland language nearly every Sunday afternoon.
He had been enjoying good health all of the time and preached a sermon the Sunday afternoon before he became ill on Wednesday. Rev. and Mrs. Ypma made a short visit with their many Sioux Center friends the past summer, at which time he also preached at the Second Christian Reformed Church.
