Mrs. C. Bouwkamp, who has lived near Sioux Center for more than 20 years, passed away Friday evening at the age of 53 years. She had been in failing health for the past year.

Emma Jansen was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. On December 29, 1904 she was united in marriage with C. Bouwkamp. Twenty-two years ago they moved to Sioux Center and for the past twenty years have resided on a farm two miles north of Sioux Center.

Mr. C. Bouwkamp died in August 1934.

Mrs. Bouwkamp is survived by her sons, Jay, John, William. Clarence and Laurence; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. William Dierma; three brothers, Bert Jansen, Sioux Center, John and Jerry Jansen, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Tom Gordon, South Haven, Mich., Mrs. William Weibenga and Mrs. Al Veen of Grand Rapids, Mich.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the First Christian Reformed Church. Rev. J.D. Dykstra and Rev. Weibenga of Ireton officiated. Interment was at the Sioux Center cemetery.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mrs. William Weibenga, Mrs. Tom Gordon, Mrs. Joe Brom, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bouwkamp of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
