Funeral services were held Monday in Sioux Center for Mrs. Marie (Keivet) Louwerse, 68, an Orange City resident for the last 11 years. She passed away at Grossmann Hospital Thursday, December 20.

Services were held in Sioux Center at the Cooperative Funeral service chapel and at the Netherlands Dutch Reformed Church, with Rev. C. Hegeman officiating.

Mrs. Louwerse, who died after a brief illness, was born in The Netherlands, April 21, 1888. She was married to Kryn Louwerse February 2, 1910, and the couple came to the United States a month later, settling first at Corsica, South Dakota. They moved to Sioux Center in 1914 and lived there more than 30 years before moving to Orange City.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, John of Hawarden; Marinus of Sioux Center, Abraham of Decatur Ill.; and James of Cocoa, Fla.; and two daughters, Mrs Henry Schelling and Mrs. Herman Klein, boh of Cypress, California.
