Marie Bouwman, 76, Orange City, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were Friday, Jan. 2, at First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Timothy Ouwinga officiating. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Marie Bouwman, daughter of Walter and Johanna (Smit) Bouwman, was born March 26, 1921, in Maurice. She was raised in Sioux County. She moved into Orange City in the early 1940's. She was employed as a housekeeper at Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City for 27 years.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include three sister, Jeanette Heida of Redlands, CA, Nell Drost of Orange City and Andrianna Foreman of Orange City; and a brother, Edward and Ruth Bouwman of Sanford, NC.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Gertrude; and three brothers-in-law, Joe Heida, Ted Drost and Edward H. Foreman.
