Funeral services were held for Mrs. Johanna Bouwman, 71, of Orange City in the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City at 1:30 and at 1:00pm in the home, Friday November 18, with Rev. John Hulst officiating. Burial was in the Orange City cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Service of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Johanna Bouwman passed away November 14 at her home in Orange City.

Survivors are her husband, Walter, and five children, Janet (Mrs. Joe Heide) of Yuciapa, Calif., Marie Bouwman at home, Nellie (Mrs. Ted Drost) of Maurice, Ed Bouwman of Redlands, Calif., Adrianna (Mrs. Ed Foreman) of Redlands, Calif.; three brothers, Dick Smit of Doon, John T. Smit of Hull, Leonard Smit of Doon; six sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ruesink of Sioux Center, Mrs. Nick Heidal of Raymond, Minn., Mrs. John Bouwman of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Lena Bakker of Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. J. Dykhuizen of Fair Oaks, Ind., and Mrs. C. Van Tilburg of Rock Valley, and 15 grandchildren.

Her parents, one brother, one sister and one daughter, who died in infancy, preceded her in death.
