Lifelong Ireton Resident Succumbs
Funeral services for Louis Carl Henry Kluter, 63, will be held at 2 p. m. today (Thursday) at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ireton. Rev. Arthur Anacker will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral home.
St Paul's quartet will sing and Mrs. Vernon Eilts will serve as organist. Casket bearers are Alvin Van Den Berg, Edward Kading, Sidney Eisma, Vernon Eilts, Merle Reinking and Wilber Vander Hamm.
Mr. Kluter was born August 17, 1903, and lived most of his life on the family farm. He died Saturday at his apartment in Ireton.
Survivors include three brothers, William of Chester, S. D., Carl of Warsaw, Mo., and Elmer of Los Angeles, Calif., and five sisters, Mrs. Clarence Holtdorf and Mrs. Herbert Brown of Ireton, Mrs. Herbert Leighter, of Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. William Fischer of Los Angeles and Mrs. Richard Prince of Sioux City.
Poster's note: Louis (better known as "Boots" or "Bootie") was the son Louisa (Braaks) and Charles Kluter. (My grandmother's brother.)
