Jean Damman, 81, died December 28, 1988 at Baum-Harmon Memorial Hospital at Primghar.

Services were 2 P. M. Saturday, December 31 at Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Sanborn with the Rev. Keith Pals officiating. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, under the direction of Sanborn Funeral Home.

Jean Blok, daughter of Leonard and Anna Blok, was born at Hospers on January 14, 1907. She lived her youth at rural Hospers and in 1912 moved with her family to a farm south of Sanborn. She attended country school near Sanborn.

On November 12, 1930 she married George P. Damman of Sanborn at The Little Brown Church at Nashua. Following their marriage, they farmed north of Sanborn. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She entered Prairie View Home on October 23, 1984.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Melvin and Glenn of Sanborn; a daughter, Eileen Floyd of Racine, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and a brother, Leonard Blok of Lenox, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her husband.
