Pearl Brower, 75, of Denver, Colorado, died March 22 in a Denver hospital after a long illness. Services were March 26 at Howe Memorial Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jerrin Gunnick of First Reformed Church. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
The deceased was the former Pearl De Groot, born on August 2, 1911 at Ireton. She lived most of her life in Sioux Center. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Ruert De Groot. She married Bill Brower on February 10, 1934. They lived in Sheldon for a short time and then moved to Denver.
Survivors are her daughter, Marg Calhoun, of McComb, Mississippi; and a son, Doug Brower of Denver. A daughter died in infancy in Sheldon.
Also surviving are three sisters, Gert Balkema of Denver; Tillie Veenklassen of Watertown, South Dakota; and Jessie Bjork of Newberry Park, California; and one brother, Casey De Groot of Sioux Center.
