Patrick Dundon whose death was reported in last weeks DEMOCRAT was born in Cork City Ireland seventy-two years ago, He came to this country with his parents when quite young.

In 1857 he married Elizabeth Drake at West Stockbridge Massachusetts. Their first child Mrs. E. Vande Casteele was born there and about 1859 they came west to northern Michigan where Mr. Dundon's parents also located. Later he moved to De Pere Wisconsin where he was for many years foreman of the now extinct National furnace company.

In 1886 he moved to his farm here one mile northeast of town where he died on January eighteenth. Deceased was one of eight brothers all iron makers but one, Thomas J. Dundon who is reputed to be one of Michigan's best lawyers and who resides at Ishpeming Michigan.

Mr. Dundon is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. E. Vande Casteele, Edward, Anna, Mrs. Joseph Haanan, George, Mrs. A. Haag and Josephine all in Iowa except the first named and Mrs. Haanan. Deceased is also survived by six brothers ; Richard at Washington Edward in California, James at Appleton Wisconsin, Maurice at Fond du Lac Wisconsin, Thomas J. Dundon at Ishpeming Michigan and Lawrence whose present address is unknown.

The funeral was held in De Pere Wisconsin at St. Francis church test Saturday. Services were conducted by Father Ryan who was assisted by Fathers Smitz and Van Roosmalen. Interment took place in the family lot on Mt. Olivot cemetery. George, Anna and Josephine from here accompanied the remains and are at present visiting at De Pere.
