James Chenhall an old and respected citizen died this week and was buried Tuesday. He leaves a wife and children.

Ireton newspaper, January 21, 1905

James Chenahall, about forty years old, died at his home four miles east of Ireton, Monday from pneumonia. He came to Sioux County with his parents when a mere boy and has since resided here. He was a brother of Mrs. Wm. Hitchcock of this city.

(James Chenhall was born 28 Oct 1859 WI, died 9 Jan 1905, married to Minnie Walker born 27 May 1860 died 1 Oct 1927. He was the son of Stephen Charles Chenhall 1824-1903 and Jane Truran 1832-1903. children were - Mervyn 1887, James 1891 and John W. 1899.)
