Alton Democrat of Nov 12, 1904

The following concerning the death of Mrs. Minnie Wells formerly of Alton is taken from the Albion Indiana Democrat: The citizens of our little city were startled Tuesday afternoon by the report that Mrs. Minnie Wells had passed away. For several months she had been afflicted with heart trouble but as she had been able for some time to look after
her household duties, no thought of her demise was entertained by her relatives and friends. She had eaten a hearty dinner Tuesday, but had remained seated at the table and her daughter Edith went to the post office for the mail about twelve-fifteen o'clock.

When she returned home her mother was lying across the couch. She telephoned for a physician
and summoned neighbors and upon their arrival Mrs. Wells was lying on the floor unconscious, Drs.
Rieff and Carver worked with her to restore her to consciousness and health but it was of no avail as she passed away at two-twenty without having regained consciousness. Apoplexy
was the cause of her demise, Minnie daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Foster was born in Albion Indiana February twentieth 1867 and was close to thirty eight years old.

With the exception of a few years residence in the west she has spent her entire lifetime in this city. She was a member of the North Star Rebekah lodge of this city and was prominent iu social circles. She was held in high esteem and respect by her many relatives and friends. She leaves an
aged mother, her little daughter brother Will Foster of Kendallville and many relatives and friends
to mourn her departure. The obsequies were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the late residence conducted by Rev. Price pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment in Albion cemetery,

(She was Mrs. William Andrew Wells 1862-1957 married 2 May 1888, Minnie Mae Foster born Jan 1866 Indiana, daughter Edith Florence Wells 1892-1986.)
