Last Rites Held For Bonnema Girl 2½ -Year-Old Is Victim of Cancer.
Funeral services were held, Tuesday afternoon, January 11, for Sharise Leigh Bonnema, 2½ year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Donald Bonnema, Primghar. Services were conducted in the American Reformed church Primghar, by Rev. D. L. Weemhoff.

Sharise passed away in the Grossmann hospital, Orange City, Saturday, January 8. She had been a patient here since Thursday, January 6.The little girl died of cancer, which had spread to her lungs. She had been ill for several months. Sharise was first taken to a Sioux City hospital, November 6. She was released eleven days later and seemed to be improving as fne result of treatments. She was also taken to the cancer research center at Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include her parents and a brother, Lorin [*Loren], one year old. Grandparents of the deceased girl are Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bonnema of Orange City, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rensink of Newkirk.

Pallbearers were Roger Heimensen, Kenneth Haack, Gerrit Vander Sloot and Argene Van Veldhuizen. Funeral arrange-ments were made by Van Etten Funeral Home. Interment was in the Orange City cemetery.
