OBITUARIES - John Kleinwolterink.
John Henry Kleinwolterink, 91, Orange City, died Thursday, May 17, 2001 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. A memorial service was held Monday, May 21 at the First Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. David Ter Beest officiating. Interment was prior to the service at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City was in charge of arrangements.

John Henry Kleinwolterink was born May 23,1909, at Sioux Center, the son of Henry John and Dana [*Dena] Bonnema) Kleinwolterink. On Feb. 8, 1935, he married Loraine Dorothy Vander Maide [*Meide] at Orange City. They farmed in Sioux County. In 1970, they moved into Orange City. Mrs. Kleinwolterink died Dec. 25,1998.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church, he had served on the consistory as a deacon. He had also been a member of the Farmers Elevator in Orange City and the Sioux Center Creamery.

Survivors include five children: Carol Westra, Ireton, Harley Kleinwolterink, Orange City, Arlyn Kleinwolterink, Orange City, Larry Kleinwolterink, Yale, and Linda Bolluyt, Adel; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter Kleinwolterink, and Warren Kleinwolterink both of Orange City, and Harold Kleinwolterink of Sioux Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine; brother, Alvin; and sister, Johanna Vander Broek.
