LOCAL NEWS.
Relatives here received word of the death of Mrs. Andy Jonker of Grand Rapids, Mich., who passed away on Friday noon at a convalescent home in Grand Rapids. The family made their home in Sioux Center about 23 years ago when Mr. Jonker was manager of the local creamery. The day before Mrs. Jonker's passing, her husband fell, sustaining a fractured hip and he is a patient at St. Mary's hospital at Grand Rapids. Besides her husband, she is survived by three children: Peter of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Ideo Star of Corsica. S. Dak., and Mrs. Frank Bonnema of Chicago, Ill. She was an aunt of Fred Vander Weide of Sioux Center.
