VAN STRYLAND RITES HELD IN TUSCON, ARIZ.
Funeral services for Gerrit Van Stryland, 76, former Orange City insurance man, were
held Saturday, December 2, at the Reformed church of Tucson, Arizona.

Mr. Van Stryland died Wednesday, Nov. 29, in a Tucson hospital where he had undergone surgery the previous Monday. Born June 12, 1885 in Boyden he was married to Gertrude Harmelink of Newkirk, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Harmelink March 2, 1909. He was an insurance agent in Orange City from around 1922 until two years ago when the family moved to Redlands, California.

In October of this year, they moved to their new home in Tucson. Surviving are the widow, a son Robert G. and grandsons Robert jr., and Eric all of Tucson, two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Lowery of Sioux City and Mrs. Bertha Samuelson of Sheldon. A sister-in-law, Miss Josephine Harmelink, resides in Orange City.

Preceding him in death was a son, Gysbert who died at the age of four in 1916. Services in Tucson were conducted by Rev. Henry Beltman. ..... etc.
