At the age of seventy four years Meindert Zwart died here Monday morning of inflammation of the bowels. He has lived in Orange City twenty three years coming here from Pella. Five children survive him. The funeral was held here Monday from the First Reformed church.

Mrs. M. Swart departed this life last Sunday afternoon at 4:30, at her home one and a half miles north west of Orange City, from lung fever, after an illness of ten days duration . Deceased was an early settler here and was quite aged. She leaves her husband and a grown family of children to mourn her demise. The funeral occurred this afternoon from the First Reformed church.
