Dr. Peter Van Beek

Dr. Peter Van Beek, 99, of Sioux Center, died Tuesday in the Sioux Center Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home. The Rev. John Hellinga will officiate. Burial will be in Memory. Gardens Cemetery.
Dr. Van Beek was born March 4, 1883 in Bennekom, the Netherlands.

He married Jennie Spoelman, June 28, 1916, in Hudsonville, Mich. They had lived in Pella, Hull and Maquoketa in Iowa and Jenison, Mich., before coming to Sioux Center in 1955. She died July 13, 1980.

Survivors include one son, Peter C. of Iowa City; two daughters Mrs. Ernest (Edith) Kraai of Drummond Island, Mich.,, and Salt Springs, Fla. and Mrs: Charles R. (Evrdean) Summers of Hyattsville, Md. and Mrs. Neal (Mary Ann) Herndon of. Eastham, Mass., 11 grandchildren and 12 great -grandchildren,
