George Bonney of Sioux City a former resident of Union County, northwest of Akron, passed away last Thursday from pneumonia at the home of his niece, Mrs. Will Schjelberg at Madison, SD. He would have been 78 years old in February. Mr. Bonney's parents were pioneer residents of Union County and it is there that he grew to young manhood but for several years he has made his home in Sioux City. He is survived by several children; three brothers, David and William of Sioux City, and Frank of Akron; and one sister, Mrs. Celia Root of Kalispell, Mont. The remains were taken to Sioux City and funeral services were held there Saturday.
