Wm. E. Bonney one of the pioneer citizens of Union County died at his old home ten miles southwest of Hawarden last Friday morning at the age of 76 years. The funeral was held Sunday and the remains laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sioux Valley township. Mr. Bonney came to Union County about thirty-five years ago. He was quite well known in Hawarden, having frequently peddled fish here during the past few years.
