John A Van Beek

ROCK VALLEY, Iowa-John A. Van Beek, 46, of Rock Valley died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at

Valley Manor following a lengthy illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Netherlands Reformed Church in Rock Valley. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.

John was born March 14, 1957, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the son of Nick and Adriana (De Wit) Van Beek. He graduated from Rock Valley High School in 1976. He married Joyce Van Beek on July 23, 1982, in Rock Valley. They lived in Rock Valley, where he first farmed before working for Demco of Boyden, Iowa, for 10 years. He later worked for Parkview Industries in Rock Valley.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Brittany and Kelcy of Rock Valley;

his mother, Adriana Van Beek of Rock Valley; a sister and her husband, Clara Ann and Dick G. Bleyenburg of Rock Valley; and two brothers and their wives, Jim and Julie Van Beek of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Gary and Fonda Van Beek of Rock Valley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Van Beek.
