Steven Vanden Brink

Funeral services were held at Central Reformed church here at 1:30 pm. Tuesday for Steven Vanden Brink, 72, retired Sioux Center farmer and a long-time resident of this area, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital Saturday after a long illness. Services were conducted by the

Rev. C. Hegeman and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral home.

Mr. Vanden Brink was born October 27, 1891, in The Netherlands. At the age of 23 he came to the United States and settled near Pella. Later he moved to Sioux county. He was married to Jennie Van Ravenswaay on February 22, 1922, at Ireton. They farmed near Sioux Center until 1959 when they retired and moved to Sioux Center.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Steven, jr., of Hull, Richard of Maurice, and John of

Sioux Center; three daughters, Gertrude, Henrietta and Josephine, all of Sioux Center; two sisters and a brother in The Netherlands, and seven grandchildren.
