Died: Oct 16, 2012 at Byron, AR.

Carrol Aaron Newman, 84, of Salem, AR, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at Fulton County Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Elizabeth, AR. Interment was in the Byron Cemetery in Byron, AR.

Carrol Aaron Newman, son of Slayton Newman and Delma Daisy (Blackwell) Newman, was born May 5, 1928 in Hawarden. He married Edith Faith Wakeman
Feb. 14, 1949, in Union Creek Church in Union County, SD. He worked alongside

his wife on the family farm. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Elizabeth Baptist Church. Survivors include his five sons, twenty-two grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters and a grandchild.
