Death of Chas. B. Griffin.
Chas, B. Griffin, one of the pioneer residents of Hawarden, died last evening at about 11 o’clock.

Mr. Griffin had been in poor health for a year or more but last week was taken much worse. He
was unconscious for some time before his death, relieving him from pain, and he breathed his
life peacefully away. He has been a resident of this vicinity for twenty-two years and no man in
Hawarden was held in higher esteem. When in good health he was a hard worker and a model citizen. He leaves a wife and three children, who have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their deep bereavement. The funeral will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon.
