Funeral services for Sophia Dykstra, 92, of George, Iowa were held Thursday, Dec. 4 at 11a.m. at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George. The Rev. Robert Lueck officiated and interment was at the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in George.

She was born Sophia Vander Wilt on Feb. 17, 1894 in Sioux County, Iowa. She spent her youth in Orange City. On Jan. 31, 1914, she married Harry Dykstra. Her husband died in 1968 and in 1969 she retired to George.

She is survived by one son, Arnold Dykstra of Hemet, California; Five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
