CLARENCE VANDER ZWAAG
Clarence Van Der Zwaag was born on Dec. 6, 1907 in the Hull vicinity. He passed away at the Sheldon Community Hospital on October 28 after a lengthy illness. The funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 1, 1980 at 1:30 o'clock at the American Reformed Church of Hull, Iowa under the direction of the Kraai Funeral Home of Hull. Burial was at Hope Cemetery of Hull.
He married Ida Jans on Jan. 28, 1931 at Boyden, Iowa and farmed in the Hull area until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the American Reformed Church of Hull, Iowa.
The survivors include his wife Ida at home; two sons, Gerrit and Jake of Hull and one daughter, Clara Klein of Hull; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. James (Helen) Van Veldhuizen and Mrs. Henry (Bertha) Bomgaars both of Hull, Iowa.
