Alice Meendering, 87, Inwood, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1989, in a hospital in Rock Valley. Services were Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Christian Reformed Church in Inwood with the Rev. William Moxey officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery.

Mrs. Meendering, the former Alice Luinstra, was born May 12, 1902, in Hull. She married Peter Meendering Jan. 12, 1923, in Sioux Center. The couple farmed in the Sioux Center area until moving to the Inwood area in 1940. They retired and moved into Inwood in 1952. Mr. Meendering died Nov. 7, 1970. She moved to Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley in 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Jake of Inwood and Elmer of Ontario, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Archie (Gertrude) Statema of Everson, Wash., and Mrs. Paul Pat) Kats of Rock Valley; three brothers, Dewey of Hills, Minn., John of Bellflower, Calif., and Dr. Mike of Redding, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.
