She died Nov. 26, 1915

Our dear deceased sister in Christ, Mrs. Alwine Gust nee Wobser, was born the 12th of December, 1851 in Pommere, Germany and baptized and
confirmed in the old country in the Evang. Lutheran church. She was married to Albert Gust, while yet in the old country.

One year after, she and her husband left for America. They first came to Freeport IL., where they lived for six years. Then they moved to Forreston,IL. , where they also stayed for six years. In 1881 they came to Sioux county where they made their home.

Their marriage was blessed by six children, two sons and four daughters,who are all still alive. The husband of the deceased died about 18 years
ago, leaving her to fight life's difficulties and hardships and to educate her children, of whom the youngest was then only 9 years which she accomplished.

Mrs. Alwine Gust has also been one of the most regular attendants of our dear Lutheran church, of which she was a devout member. We shall greatly miss her at our service an she took a deep interest in the sermon and the prayers and was Most attentive in what the Lord had to tell by His servant in our days to his people. May her good example help all of us to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but one another, and so much the more, as see the day approaching.

Mrs. Gust had never been very strong in health, as far as we are told or remember. She had frequently to suffer with stomach trouble. About two years ago, rheumatism caused her many pains. Last winter she had one of her arms broken, half a year ago, heart trouble set in, which was accompanied dropsy. Since that time, she became gradually worse.

Two weeks ago, she seemed to be much improved. Last Friday however she became weaker; but, when the end came. It all together unexpected
Saturday, November, 27th, at half past four in the morning, she calmly and most peacefully, like the saints of the Lard, slept and passed away to depart for a bettor home than this hear in the valley of tears and shadows attaining an age of 93 yeara. 11months and 16 days. Blessed are the death which die in the Lord from henceforth, Yes, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

The morning survivors are her children Henry Gust, Caroline Bruening, Albert Gust, Emily Schwartz, IdaSchwartz, Bertha Wendorf, her children-in-law, Mary Gust nee Moessner, Fred Bruening, Annie Gust nee Schmidt, Henry Schwartz, Peter Schwartz, Louis Wendorf, 21 grandchildren, 1 sister Ida Schulz in Freeport,
IL., 1 uncle and 1 aunt, Gustave Wobser and his wife Caroline in Freeport. II!., and many other relatives and friends. The funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 30th., Rev. P, J. Bunge, officiating.
